Assuming you’ve already completed your market research, business plan, and legal process, you’re ready to start importing clothing from Bangladesh. In this post, we’ll guide you through a step-by-step process to help you get started. We assume that you have enough funds to buy samples or finance production and have already chosen which niche you’ll be selling in, such as men, women, kids, knit products, outerwear products, or anything else.
The first step is to plan your fabric. You’ll need to decide which fabric you want to use, such as 100% cotton, 100% polyester, 50% cotton 50% polyester, CVC, nylon, bamboo cotton, or anything else.
Next, you’ll move on to getting your design ready. Think about whether you want to dye or print your design and whether you want to add any embroidery. You’ll need to decide on the printing method, such as screen print, sublimation print, all-over print, rotary print, or digital print, based on the colors you want to use.
After that, you’ll need to plan the trims and accessories you want to add to your product, such as hangtags, care labels, brand labels, strings, size labels, additional buttons, zippers, and barcodes. You’ll also need to plan your packaging, such as a polybag with your logo printed on it or any additional information about your company or the product.
Once you have all of this information, you’ll need to prepare a tech pack, which is a combination of all the information you’ve gathered so far, and send it to the manufacturer. You’ll also need to prepare a size chart with detailed measurements of your product that the manufacturer will follow to cut and sew your clothing.
Finding a manufacturer can be challenging, but if you’re in Bangladesh, you’re in luck. We are Shadow Clothings and we manufacture T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, tank tops, and more. You can contact us directly if you need these products. Otherwise, you can search for manufacturers on Google or Alibaba.
Before you place an order, make sure to get a sample from the manufacturer to check the quality. This will help you determine whether the quality meets your expectations and eliminate the risk of scams. You may need to pay a sample charge.
Once you’re satisfied with the sample, you can proceed with bulk production. If there’s anything you want to change, give the manufacturer your feedback during the sampling stage so they can amend the final product.
